What will music become in our rapidly changing cities? A new commission created by Merseyside's Forest Swords and Immix Ensemble investigates. Trespassing uses field recordings, construction blueprints and architectural data to speculate on how the transformation of cityscapes worldwide will shape what we hear, and how we hear it. How is the identity of a city expressed in its soundscape? How does this connect to our sense of ownership over public space? And what might public spaces feel and sound like in the future? Join us for the world premiere of electronic producer and artist Forest Swords, aka Matthew Barnes, first commission for ensemble, working with Erased Tapes signees Immix Ensemble.
