A strange autopsy. An opening up of things to reveal something tender inside. In Cuteness Forensics, artists Tom Richards and Tim Spooner (The Voice of Nature, Battersea Arts Centre) embark on a visual and sonic escapade. Velvet, electronics, sponge, lead, and record players are their materials. Objects are cut open and explored. Small things are magnified to sound huge and overwhelming. Against a wall of sound, vulnerability is exposed to find something sympathetic in material itself. In this weird world, the internal is brought to the surface, soft tissues meet jagged edges and strange sculptures dance to offbeat rhythms. Enter a strange and unique laboratory.
