South Hill Park has asked Fireraisers’ to take you on an engaging journey into the forbidden. You will be led on a quest to uncover the secrets of South Hill Park, the lives of past inhabitants, the joys and sorrows steeped in its walls - the labyrinth of the building’s history. A masked ball leads to a pursuit through the wild woods; a bridge across the lake leads to another world. Fusing performance with live music and dance, enhanced by multi-media effects, the house and grounds of South Hill Park are transformed into the enchanted landscapes of the imagination. Co-created by Polly Wiseman and Paul Jepson, ‘Things That Go Bump’ follows Fireraisers’ previous acclaimed production ‘This Rough Magic’ – loosely based on ‘The Tempest’ and performed on an oilrig towed onto Brighton beach – which attracted a record one night audience of 35,000.
