In 2007 the Gordon Craig Theatre was selected to host one of 7 regional projects funded by V, an independent charity championing youth volunteering in England. Blueprint is a young person-led arts initiative for the Eastern Region for which groups have been asked to create a project on 'the community'. This performance sees the culmination of months of hard work by the mixed ability Gordon Craig Theatre Blueprint Creative Production Group. The young people have produced a fantastic multimedia presentation all about having tolerance for people and promoting peace in the areas in which we live. RESPECT combines live theatre, film and a contemporary soundtrack to advocate putting the 'unity' in Community, to feel happy and proud in our surroundings and strengthen relations between local residents. Featuring collaborations with other local groups including the popular Gordon Craig Youth Theatre, RESPECT is powerful as well as well as witty and promises to be an entertaining evening for local people, leaving you with a feel good factor to remember!
