Following our successful storytelling event Rude Gyals last year in south London, Strong Back Productions comes to east London with Strong Back Tales. This time we are celebrating the untold stories of Bangladeshi women. Everyone has a story to tell but not everyone has the opportunity to tell it. In April StrongBack Productions are running writing workshops led by award-winning writer Patricia Cumper MBE. The workshops will give women the skills they need to turn their life's experiences into short stories which will be read by professional female actors on Saturday 16 May. Join us for or a night of amazing story-telling celebrating the multiplicity of Bangladeshi women and their 20th and 21st century lives. We are a British company that draws on the Caribbean tradition of forging one culture from many histories to create work that includes artists from every background, across a range of art forms, that reaches out to the most diverse of British audiences. For us, the story dictates the form. We work with and for communities telling their stories and celebrating their histories. We always work with new practitioners and create a legacy with each production.
