Details

The Spanish Civil War inspired art like no other, leaving a powerful legacy of poetry, painting, music and film. Red and Black vividly depicts how Liverpool responded. This ambitious production features over 100 of our dancers, actors, musicians, community drama performers and facilitators, who will take the audience out on to the streets to tell this moving account of Liverpool's history. Red and Black is produced in partnership with Slung Low, who are renowned for making adventures for audiences outside conventional theatre spaces. No strangers to Liverpool, in 2010 they performed the award winning Anthology and in 2011 Finale to mark the demolition of the original Everyman Theatre. Performed by second-year Acting, Applied Theatre & Community Drama, Dance and Music students.
