Is it possible to hear the stars? Is it possible to hear the invisible? An extraordinary one-off event that takes place under the light of the moon, using the light of the night sky to create a celestial soundscape. Sound artist Brian Duffy uses a Lunaphone - a unique musical instrument consisting of a group of specially adapted telescopes - to collect lightwaves from astral bodies. These waves are translated into sounds, which are mixed and sequenced in real time. An ensemble of conductor and two operators will slowly explore and reveal the sounds created by the night sky. This event will take place only if the weather and the stars collude with us: make sure you're there for an unpredictable, unmissable evening.
