Details

Headlining this eccentric line up is Minotaur Shock whose recent album Maritime is an unlikely flight of fancy, combining romantic notions of the sea (smugglers, pirates, Daphne Du Maurier and all that!) with a certain fondness for FM Rock (Steely Dan, Hall & Oates, The Cars). After a wave of live appearances at Sonar, Venn Festival and Ashton Court, Minotaur Shock (aka David Edwards) is ready for his first UK tour proper. Thanks to the wonders of digital technology, the show features not one but two Davids on stage, plus lush animations, comic turns, and the obligatory dream sequence! Unmissable, uncategorisable fun that will stay with you long after you ve stopped smiling. Support comes from Freeze Puppy (Devandra Banhart s favourite new performer!) cooking up an unbelievable mixture of African guitar, Fantomas studio boffinary and Ray Davis song craft; plus Mr_Hopkinson (Solid Steel/Pause2), whose mischievous hard drive takes centre stage in The Computer Sings, a medley of vocoder-led indie classics.
