Is it still possible to scare an audience from the comfort of a theatre seat? It all began thousands of years ago in a dark cave huddled around a fire as a tale-teller warned of strange beasts, angry gods, and dark magic afoot in a dangerous world. All known societies have a rich history of these supernatural myths and legends. Yet we still love our scary stories today and horror films remain one of Hollywood’s most bankable genres. For Late Night Fright Night we take it back to spine-tingling basics - live storytelling. Five critically acclaimed Liverpool writers will try different ways of scaring you... with the help of our Technical Department. This event is for the curious but not the faint-hearted! Writers include Laurence Wilson, Jonathan Larkin, Kieran Lynn, Jeff Young and Lizzie Nunnery.
