An evening of music and fashion hosted by Simon Amstell. LaLaLyric is a unique fundraising event that teams the most audacious and exciting musical acts with fast-rising fashion designers. The event will raise money for LYC (Lyric Young Company) an important and inclusive company that nurtures the creative talent of tomorrow. Simon Amstell will compeer and host the LaLaLyric line-up that includes, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Emmy the Great, Melodica, Melody and Me and FrYars as well a number of fast-rising fashion designers who will be showing off their latest work. Music - There will be a superb line-up of musicians performing acoustic sets in the intimate setting of the Lyric's Main House theatre, including headline act Sophie Ellis-Bextor, long-standing Lyric supporter who is currently working on her fourth album, Emmy the Great, who has been a favourite on the festival circuit this year playing at Glastonbury and Latitude Festival amongst others, FrYars who is fresh from supporting Goldfrapp at the Albert Hall, and 'folk-step' pioneers Melodica, Melody and Me who are putting bums on seats all over the UK with their new genre of music. There will be a DJ in the Main Foyer will keep things buzzing pre-show and during the interval. Fashion - Celebrities, singers and performers will be customising a number of plain T-shirts, which will be placed in a handful of goodie-bags that will also hold cosmetics and other luxury gifts. Audience members will be able to purchase these goodie-bags and be automatically entered into a Prize Draw that will take place at the end of the evening. The LaLa Marketplace will consist of a range of market stalls by young and upcoming designers selling original accessories and clothing, including many designers from Portobello market.
