Home Theatre (UK) is a bold and exciting international project that saw thirty new, one person shows performed in thirty homes across London. The project, which took place in the UK for the first time October 2013, has been developed with Brazilian partner Festival Internacional de Cenas em Casa. Thirty performance artists were recruited to work on the project, with each artist assigned their own host. Over the period of one week, artists took part in a series of preparatory sessions at the theatre, before meeting their host in person to take inspiration from their personal stories to create a bespoke performance tailored to their interests.
