Brighton and Sussex Medical School Revue
Work:: Brighton and Sussex Medical School Revue (S0135087199)
Production:: (T763208014)
The first ever Medical Revue dates back to 400 BC, when Hippocrates - millennia ahead of his time - put on a three-day spectacular consisting of nurse-jokes, anti-Trojan songs and improvisational dance. It was ill received, and after being condemned to death by the Trojan Nursing Association, Hippocrates' dream of introducing humour to medicine was lost for centuries. Then in the twenty first century his revolutionary vision was resurrected. Back by popular demand, medical students from Brighton and Sussex medical school take on the fringe after a sell out performance in November. Offering a comic perspective on the life of a modern medical student, insights to the failing NHS and the wonderful world of embarrassing ailments. Expect a comedy show full of sketches, songs and about as many laughs as junior doctors without jobs. This is pure bedpan humour that is not for the faint hearted. You have been warned.
