The 4th Edition - T1421533276

Every second week of July, Exchange Theatre Company present work in French and English to celebrate Bastille day, the French National holiday commemorating the storming of the Bastille on 14th July 1789 which marked the beginning of the French Revolution. The Lion & Unicorn Theatre is delighted to play host to this year’s fourth edition, with highlights including Shakespeare’s ‘Twelfth Night’ or ‘LA NUIT DES ROIS’ in French, and Brecht’s ‘Caucasian Chalk Circle’ or ‘LE CERCLE DE CRAIE CAUCASIEN’, also in French. From 13th and 16th of July 2011, Exchange will present two professional double-bills of the best new writing crossing the channel. Two nights will be dedicated to the French double bill of ‘LADY MAC WATA’ by Magali Muxart and ‘GHOST LAMP’ by Julie Drousset, where new writing flirts with great stand up comedy. This will alternate with two nights of the English double bill of ‘DEAR WALLIS’ by Juliette Quenin and ‘Excusez me’ by Benedict Cooper.
