An Evening with Stewart White - A Charity Gala for Children in Need

Work:: An Evening with Stewart White (S1699591560)

Production:: A Charity Gala for Children in Need (T01103772559)

Cambridge Arts Theatre and BBC Look East are delighted to welcome BBC presenter Stewart White as he hosts a gala chat show for BBC Children in Need. Part Sunday Night at the Palladium, part Parkinson, part Pudsey and part Top of the Pops, this is guaranteed to be an evening of pure, unadulterated entertainment. Expect a night of music, comedy and conversation as Stewart is joined by a host of stars from the Eastern region, including the chart-topping singing sensation The Opera Babes, former G4 member Ben Thapa and ‘The Seventh Python’, Neil Innes (The Rutles, Bonzo Dog Band). The full guest list will evolve over the summer, but with previous artists including grumpy old keyboard genius Rick Wakeman, Dame Evelyn Glennie and Ruthie Henshall, this year is expected to be an equally star-studded occasion. Keep an eye on the BBC Look East website for updated guest stars: www.bbc.co.uk/lookeast The evening will be filmed with highlights broadcast on Look East the following night and during the Children in Need Appeal Night on 20 November. Stewart promises not to sing this year, but the word is that fellow Look East presenters, led by weather forecaster Julie Reinger, have been spotted rehearsing a very special number... The Arts Theatre is being donated free of charge for this event, and all the stars have agreed not to charge a fee for appearing.
