The Englishman sits in his caravan St Osyth/Singing - Scratch

The Englishman sits in his caravan St Osyth/Singing

Work:: The Englishman sits in his caravan St Osyth/Singing (S456129502)

We are interested in making opera from incidental, minor stories. A newspaper cutting - "Wind blows kite-boy half a mile" - led us to St Osyth. This story led to other, unexpected stories, original texts and scores to work from - first hand accounts dating back 400 years, sentimental poems, letters and stories. Part of the power of this piece is that all these stories exist in one location.

CORONAVIRUS: All venues in the UK were shut down on March 16, 2020, and the restrictions were finally lifted on July 19, 2021. It is important to mention that the UK Theatre Web archive listings (iUKTDb) from March 2020 to July 2021 might not be accurate due to the lack of information regarding rescheduled and cancelled shows.
