Senza Sangue & Bluebeard's Castle

Work:: Senza Sangue & Bluebeard's Castle (S01773669407)

Dark and harrowing, B?la Bart?k's rarely performed Bluebeard's Castle follows lovers Judith and Bluebeard as they arrive into Bluebeard's castle. Judith desperately wants to figure out the hidden secrets of her new husband's soul, but the more she discovers the closer the pair are pulled towards eternal loneliness. Eotvos' own piece Senza Sangue (Without Blood) is also an amazing display of orchestral virtuosity, created to be performed prior to Bluebeard's Castle. Set in the aftermath of civil war, this explosive psychothriller follows an unnamed man and woman as they try to find meaning in their past trauma.
