Plus six arias and duets. Another chance to catch the critically acclaimed work of nine black British composers first presented as part of the A Nitro at the Opera festival in November 2003. This Revival! celebrates the best of Black British talent within the world of contemporary classical music, drawing on inspirations and influences from across the arts and from different cultures. Arias and duets composed by Nicky Brown, Dainty Drysdale, Ola Onabule, Alex Wilson, Tunde Jegede and Orphy Robinson will be performed along-side three fully-staged operas: Grayzna, the Triumph of the Queen, music by Clement Ismael, libretto by Mel Cooper; Bird of Night, music and libretto by Dominique Le Gendre; and Another America: Earth, music and libretto by Errollyn Wallen.
