Fresh from the Duplex cabaret in New York and the Nationwide Building Society advert campaign, two-time long-listed Spoken Word Artist of the Year and multiple slam champion Robert Garnham brings his new show, Juicy, to Exeter. With whimsical rhymes, fast-paced poems and comedy monologues, Juicy features old favourites such as Beard Envy, the Straight Pub and the EastEnders Badger, as well as a new monologue about lust and desire in an airport departure lounge. Tackling themes such as loneliness, LGBT rights, longing, de-sire and chocolate Hob Nobs, Juicy is a fifty minute whirlwind of whimsy, rhyme and wordplay. Conceived and rehearsed in a bungalow in Devon, and yet featuring music from San Francisco sound artist Bryce Dumont, and guest starring a cameo audio appearance from Margoh Channing, one of New York's top drag queens, Juicy is a vibrant and energetic exploration of contemporary gay life.
