Details

Dry Ice is the first solo show from award-winning spoken word artist and playwright Sabrina Mahfouz. With her 'startling, thought-provoking and provocative' (Soho Theatre) storytelling style she takes on: Nina, a stripper on the edge; Nina's boyfriend, P, a 'half art-dealer, half drug-dealer' and a host of other eccentrically entertaining characters - all of whom she presents seamlessly and with uncanny detail. Sabrina's 'invaluable theatrical voice' (Theatre Royal Stratford East) give us surreal and deliciously dark strip-club adventures, telling it like it really is - and isn't, both on and off the pole. Mixing Sabrina's unique spoken word-style with theatre and innovative visuals from fantastic filmmaker and architect Sara Muzio; a subject that never usually receives more than the perfunctory nod at supposed glamour and seduction is humorously tackled by these top UK talents. It promises to be an hour like no other... but please note, there's a three-foot rule at all times.
