Larry gave up his career with Esso and came to the stage after answering an “Actors Wanted!” advert, and has since gone on to star most recently as Archie Mitchell, Machiavellian father and grandfather in EastEnders and Michael “Mick” Shipman, a loved father in Gavin and Stacey.
