Prince Carl Franz is sent to university to finish his studies and in Heidelberg, intoxicated by the scent of the Spring blossoms and the freedom of student life, he soon falls deliriously in love with Kathie, the innkeeper's daughter. But, like youth itself, his romance is but a brief interlude. Princes will become Kings and shall marry Princesses. All too soon duty points a stern finger and student days must be folded away in memories. The Student Prince is a touching tale of love and longing - the very essence of romance.
