Details
Set on the cruel streets of Boston in the late 19th Century, we follow the story of Jordan as she struggles to make a life for herself amongst the boarding houses and alleyways of Scollay Square. Her frail daughter is blessed with a magical musical gift which may be their only salvation. The Irish spirit remains intact as their lives are played out to the haunting tune of the Piper, until into their lives walks a dark stranger. The morning reveals the lifeless strangled body of a girl in the square and suspicion points its finger. A sweeping Irish-influenced score, powerful themes, humour, mystery and an enduring murderous presence.
