It was a time when nights were spent tapping and swinging the hours away to the great sounds produced by Fats Waller, Jelly Roll Morton, Louis Armstrong, James Johnson and the like, and memorable artists such as Billie Holiday and Lena Horne. Hot tap musical following a young dancer's rise to working in Harlem's Apollo Theatre.
