90 minutes of songs, stories, poems and labrish from the Caribbean of the 1950s. Back then the songs were sweet and melodious, the stories funny and touching, the poems lively and dramatic, the labrish was...labrish. Featuring writers such as Derek Walcott, Louise Bennett and Paul Keenes Douglas. The music will reflect a time when lyrics were less strident and imbued with wit, satire and wonderful tunes.
