Pants - Lies, l'amour and lurex leggings

Work:: Pants (S368243871)

A bittersweet musical comedy with all new and original songs. In Pants we travel through the greatest flops, the sub-bowiesque persona's and varying musical genres, (from Glam through punk, to new romantic and post modern) of Rikki Rintou, the Caledonian Mc Chameleon of Rock. Once described by Smash Hits as a 'bit of a cult' (although this proved to be a typographical error), Rikki rises to fame as the sexually magnetic, ambiguous and promiscuous lead singer of the group 'The Pants'. Becoming seduced by fame, he grows apart from the other members of the band, causing a massive split in 'The Pants' and inspiring lots of jokes in the NME. But the years of attempted musical re-invention and critical failure begin to take their toll. His solo career hits an all time low, his debts hit an all time high and no one is buying his records. So he needs to find some way of hitting the headlines, raising his celebrity profile and jump-starting his flaccid career...pronto.
