Each month features staged extracts from new musicals at different points in their development - new work looking for an audience. Come along and see what happens when the printed page leaps into life!

Production:: The Hush Room/Heavens Above/Home/New Cabaret Songs (T1369397933)

The Hush Room - Writer of the acclaimed When Harry Met Barry brings a new piece to the stage for the first time. Set in deepest and darkest Soho explore the tangled web of love and identity in The Hush Room where no one is quite who they seem! Heavens Above - Welcome aboard Empyreal Airlines. With the cabin is in chaos, smoke coming from the galley, and the captain being stuck behind the piano it's all about to go fabulously wrong! This is not your ordinary airline, and these are certainly no ordinary passengers... Heavens Above was written and conceived by Rob Bedford and Niall Palmer. The show recently premiered in showcase form as part of the Perfect Pitch Festival, where it played to full houses. Home - When a frog, dragon and Hippo converge on a lagoon together you can't be sure what might transpire! A charming tale with a moral. Performed script in hand for the firts time since it was created in New York, this will give the writer a chance to see if the piece can be extended into something longer. New Cabaret Songs - Fresh from the success of his new musical Over The Threshold, which was recently staged as part of the Perfect Pitch Festival, Christopher Hamilton is joined on stage by Shimi Goodman who is currently rehearsing "Dirty Dancing" and Noa Bodner. They will perform a selection of Christopher's recent compositions including a song about a phobia of small children and a manic depressive's lament."
