My Father's Son archiveLoosely based on Hamlet, My Father's Son is set in the steel industry of Sheffield during a time of industrial dispute. The story focus's on Sam Eltham, a young grinder, avenging the 'accidental death' of this father. Produced by the Sheffield based theatre company MISTCO] as a youth musical in 1993, under the title of Made in Sheffield the piece has now grown form a one hour show into a full length musical. My Father's Son receives it's World Premiere at the Crucible Theatre, Sheffield from July 14-17th 1999.
