Other citizens are uncomfortably reminded of their own origins and are forced to ask deep-rooted question about their identity. Metropolis is about belonging. The plot explores the fear of newcomers and - of current poignancy - the fear of terrorism. Reflecting the creative power behind the production, the piece draws on diverse cultural influences.
