Based on a true story and set in Spain in 711 when Julian starts a war between the Moors and Spain in the belief that his daughter Florinda has been seduced by King Roderic. Florinda is in love with Roderic although she has been promised in marriage to an army officer and is also loved by an Arab teenager.
