Fading showgirl Maggie revives the soft shoe shuffles of her heydays as she tries to get one up on Elizabeth Taylor, hard nosed hooker Tina belts it out Broadway style, porn peddler Stewart is living it up in the gay underworld and single mother Joy proclaims her right to survive with revivalist fervour. Through these poignant portraits and a fantastic fusion of musical styles life on the city streets will never seem the same again.
