Can-Can - Lost Musicals

Work:: Can-Can (S0173576604)

In fin-desiecle Paris, the can-can has high-kicked its way into popular culture and Pistache, owner of the infamous Bal du Paradis, couldn't be happier. Judge Artistide Forestier, on the other hand, is not impressed. He is intent on closing all Parisian dance-halls and has set his sights firmly on the Bal du Paradis. But has he met his match in Pistache?
Music Cole Porter
Lyrics Cole Porter
Book by Abe Burrows

Production:: Lost Musicals (T1083981717)

Unlike all of the extensively rewritten revivals and completely reinvented film version, these performances return to the original material. The brilliant score includes It's All Right With Me, I Love Paris, I Am In Love and C'Est Magnifique. The comedy musical is set in Paris in 1893 and challenges the indecency laws in Le Bal du Paradis, a dance hall.
