A Bowl of Cherries

A Bowl of Cherries

Work:: A Bowl of Cherries (S01749360007)

A Bowl of Cherries is a musical revue that looks at life through a cycle of plays and songs, as observed by two wartime ghosts. Penny Riddle and Albert Farthing are trapped in the theatre between this world and the next. Albert is tired of being in limbo and wants to move on but is held back by Penny who is in denial, believing she is still alive and waiting for her big theatrical break. Their story unfolds through the evening, concluding with a dramatic denouement. The drama and music illustrate different aspects of life's bittersweet experiences, universal to us all, as we are taken on a journey from cradle to grave.
