3 Summers archiveFor Freddie's girls there were only three summers in the 1960's The Summer of Dreams - When a generation challenged convention and changed the geography of the world making London its capital. Maz dreamt of making it big in music, Shelly in dance, Frankie in fashion, Princess in acting, Heff in cooking and Pen, who knew her artistic limitations, confined her dreams to managing the other's rise to stardom. Freddie Savage, ex-50's crooner, came out of the self imposed shadows he had withdrawn into after 'that incident' to steer his house guests as best he could. The Summer of Love - When they gave each other flowers; wore peace badges and changed partners more often than their undies. It was of course the birth of the contraceptive pill and artistic Rule Britannia. It seemed everyone was rocking in one non-stop party. The Summer of Reflection - When the survivors looked back on a decade that had seen more changes than in a millennium; heart stopping and heartbreaking times but not without its casualties. Time for the heroes to become baby boomers. Share their journey and ride that rainbow in the most exciting show you'll see this year - featuring new songs and 60's classics.
