Okidok (Belgium) - Slips Inside

Okidok (Belgium)

Work:: Okidok (Belgium) (S0973407374)

These young Belgians have developed their own distinctive universe and style; subtle, witty and bang up-to-date. In a series of original, wordless sketches and routines, they demonstrate superb physical skills and sophisticated humour. Their extravagant make-up and costume evoke the great tradition of Russian clowning. Skilful, clever and great fun.

Production:: Slips Inside (T01959194260)

This latest show from Belgium's acclaimed theatre-clown duo, Xavier Bouvier and Benoit Devos, draws on some of their classic street-theatre repertoire, including acrobatics, dance and the burlesque arts. Winner of the Grand Prix du Jury at the 2009 Milan Clown Festival, Okidok focuses on Leopold and Baudoin, two enthusiastic and competitive entertainers, eager to demonstrate their considerable talents. In an atmosphere of mounting chaos they strive to outdo one another with feats of skill and increasing ingenuity.
