Okidok (Belgium) - Ha Ha Ha

Okidok (Belgium)

Work:: Okidok (Belgium) (S0973407374)

These young Belgians have developed their own distinctive universe and style; subtle, witty and bang up-to-date. In a series of original, wordless sketches and routines, they demonstrate superb physical skills and sophisticated humour. Their extravagant make-up and costume evoke the great tradition of Russian clowning. Skilful, clever and great fun.

Production:: Ha Ha Ha (T1837539083)

Their bizarre make-up and costume hints at Beckett or the great tradition of Russian clowning, but Xavier Bouvier and Benoit Devos have developed their own distinctive universe and style. First seen in London in an earlier version at London International Mime Festival 2003, HaHaHa is a series of original, wordless sketches and impressive physical routines which they polished and perfected in the course of touring with different circus troupes in Europe, America and Canada.
