Geoff Somers is one of the world’s most accomplished polar travellers. Two years ago he again journeyed to the South Pole, re-enacting part of the fateful expedition undertaken by Robert Scott in 1911/12, using as near as possible the same equipment, navigation techniques, food and clothing.
