In this re-telling of the classic tale, little Tom discovers through his comic and scary adventures that growing big isn't the same as growing up; he has to keep his wits about him to avoid the perils of the great big world around him. Meet the Fairy Godmother who leaves helpful post-it notes. Tom's Dad who gets three wishes and makes a mess of them, King Wilberforce the 14th and his servant Wibber, a very hungry Giant and the Big Bad Wolf's bigger badder brother. The show is performed in a traditional puppet stage dressed as a book-case, with one large book with pages that turn to reveal the changes of scenery. Music, audience participation, glove and rod puppets, with a special introduction by Professor Punchinello, travelling showman and Bubbleologist with his cheeky helper, Bookworm.
