The Jungle Book

Work:: The Jungle Book (S888500238)

Production:: (T04002217)

I'm gone, man, solid gone. Not yet Baloo! Mowgli, Baloo and Bagheera are the coolest cats in our ever-changing world. Two loving Dads, nothing to worry about except the bare necessities; yet the jungle is shrinking and there's deadly danger in the trees. Grosvenor Park Open Air Theatre's loving adaptation of the film and book, with plenty in there for big and little swingers alike. Take a glance at the fancy ants. Oh Baloo, I want to stay here with you How will he survive? How will he survive? Why, it's easy! All you need are the bare necessities, right, everybody?

As an adult I appreciated the quality of acting and the resourcefulness- however it was , for a local summer performance alittle over thought. Given it probably attracted a family audience due to its content , it could be considered as too deep in its message - although a great twist to engage all ages - a bit more of a fun story associated closer to it roots would have been more appreciated and enjoyed , in the main . Having said that we thoroughly enjoyed the entire performance and totally support the Storyhouse - The Actors were believable and enchanting - the set Very well considered and intimate - a perfect afternoon in the Park - Many Thanks to all for such a remarkable achievement !
