In a city of wooden boxes live the knitted people. If you open one of the tiny doors or peep through a brass slot you can see into their strange knitted world. This is the story of two of these people - Herring and Purl whose lives are unknowingly knitted together even though they have never met. A touching story about spending and sharing in a world where a penny can buy you almost anything - except friends. Age 4-9
