Moonbird
Work:: Moonbird (S1796229665)
Come. Take off your shoes and enter into a tent deep in the heart of the Bedouin desert. Be taken into a world warm with baking flat bread and burning skies, colourful prayer mats, smells of cardamom and caraway seeds.... As night darkens and the stars illuminate the cooling earth, two Bedouin storytellers weave and unravel the fable of a little Arabian prince, born inside a bubble, unable to talk to his parents, the king and the queen. Fostered by animals, in a magical garden where fronds of strange and unfamiliar fauna grow in clay pots, the little boy is taught to hear the music in the trees when the wind blows, laughter in leaves and singing in waving grass..... Using puppetry, mask, song and movement, Moonbird tells a story for ages 5 upwards, through the voices of the nomadic people incorporating scent, touch and taste.
