The sun warms the back alleyway where Martha lives. Scruffy the Dog's owner has gone on holiday and Mrs Snowdross is looking after him. But all is not well, Mrs Snowdross receives a letter from her sister, asking her to visit urgently to help run "Cockle Shells" the seaside Guest House that she owns in Suntown on Sea. Once at the seaside, Martha and Scruffy spend much of their time on playing on the beach. But more exciting than this is the Circus that comes to town. Martha finds that not all the local children treat her with the respect she deserves. Discover how Martha changes all of that and how she loses one of her nine lives!
