Details

Based on Icarus at the Edge of Time, the stunning book for children written by the world-renowned physicist Brian Greene, this is a futuristic reimagining of the classic Greek myth with cutting-edge visuals, brand new score by Philip Glass, film by Al and Al, live narration and an orchestral performance by the London Philharmonic Orchestra. In this tale, a boy ventures through deep space and challenges the awesome power of a black hole. While his anguished father watches from the safety of the mothership, Icarus succumbs to the unyielding forces of Einstein's general relativity. What seems to Icarus like a short joy ride corresponds to thousands of years for everything far from the black hole. When he returns, Icarus bravely enters a new world - the future - but suffers the devastating loss of his friends and family to time's relentless passage.
