How Lion Became King Of Tinga Tinga Land, is a fun-packed performance that will transport children and their families to a high-octane adventure on the African Plain. A new children's stage show from the creator of Tweenies, How Lion Became King of Tinga Tinga Land follows the adventure of the Wise Old Bird 'Banjoko' who decides that the land of Tinga Tinga should have a King, and how she sets about finding the suitable Animal worthy to wear the crown of Tinga Tinga land. On her journey 'Banjoko' meets the Cheeky Monkey 'Maliki', a Kind but Goofy Giraffe named 'Gowon', a Groovy Zebra called 'Zalika' and a very Proud Lion called 'Lutalo'. Each animal in the show brings a unique character to the stage and a special story and song which the audience is invited to sing. The journey starts and finishes in a lively manner keeping everyone's toes a-tapping. Five performers lead kids and their families through a high-octane story full of music, puppetry, and lots of song and dance to join in with. Mixing classic nursery rhymes with traditional East African folktales from the animals of the African plains, five performers lead audiences through a lively journey filled with music, puppetry, dancing, and plenty of interaction. Kids will be encouraged to turn up in costume as their favourite animal, and masks etc will be available for sale on the day. On her journey, Banjoko meets a host of characters, including the Cheeky Monkey Maliki, a kind but goofy giraffe named Gowon, a groovy zebra called Zalika and a very proud lion called Lutalo. Children are encouraged to turn-up in costume, as their favourite animal, to bring a truly authentic experience of Africa to the performance.
