Aesop's Fables

Work:: Aesop's Fables (S439369108)

Production:: (T0746784456)

As far as we know, Aesop was a slave and storyteller who lived in ancient Greece between 620 and 564 BC. But although we don't know much about the man himself, we do still have over 725 of his stories - passed down from generation to generation. We considered doing all 725 fables and then thought better of it. What we've done instead is asked a few of our favourite writers to select one fable and to re-tell it for our today's audience. We're presenting two versions of the results: one for ages 4-7 and one for ages 8-12.

CORONAVIRUS: All venues in the UK were shut down on March 16, 2020, and the restrictions were finally lifted on July 19, 2021. It is important to mention that the UK Theatre Web archive listings (iUKTDb) from March 2020 to July 2021 might not be accurate due to the lack of information regarding rescheduled and cancelled shows.
