Details

Based on Graham Greene's novel, Richard Attenborough puts in a memorable performance as Pinky - the murderous and psychopathic leader of a Brighton gang. He courts and marries a waitress (she has witnessed one of the crimes) in order to keep her silent. One of the great British thrillers of the 1940s - it is brimming over with Catholic guilt.
