Push

PushT0
Push is a Black led multi-artform event which provides a platform for contemporary British Black artists to tell their stories in new forms and new contexts. Following discussions with Black British creative practitioners, Josette Bushell-Mingo, Artistic Director of Push, initiated this large scale event as a vehicle to start transforming the perceptions of Black led British Arts. The Young Vic is the core collaborator in the event and the Old Vic, National Theatre, Studio, Jerwood Space and St John's Church, Waterloo, are all key partners. The Push festival will occupy the main stage for one week and the Studio for two weeks. The last performance of A Raisin in the Sun will be the first performance of Push.
