Since the 1950's Claudia Williams' paintings have enjoyed widespread public appeal for their accessible subjects, sensitive use of strong colour, and confidence of her draughtsmanship. A reappraisal of her contribution to the ever-popular British figurative tradition is long overdue and this exhibition is a tribute to her commitment to painting over the past forty years.
