Taiko Drummers and Performers from Japan. U-Stage are a seven artist street theatre company directed by Yasuchi Shimazaki. A typical performance includes a session on the mighty Taiko drums, a procession of Chindon-ya (street musicians who announce the opening of new shops and restaurants in Japan), a comic performance on instruments recycled from garbage, and a hands-on workshop on Japanese culture, drumming and theatre.
