This day long event is an experiment: to create a space where the intractable futures of Palestinians and Israelis, Jews and Arabs can be re-imagined. There will be talk and discussion from key figures from the region and diaspora, including Palestinian television reporter Daoud Kuttah, arrested by the Palestinian authority; Israeli journalist Amira Hass, Haaretz correspondent, and 8 years resident in the occupied territory; the UK premiere screening of Shattered Dreams, which provides new testimony and unseen footage to explain the peace process failure; plus major contributions on the contested history of the region. Further keynote speakers include artists and writers such as David Greig, and Linda Grant, the British Jewish writer. Music and poetry will punctuate the day, which promises only the unexpected.
