A unique festival celebrating creative personalities created by people with, or who identify with, a diagnosis of personality disorder. CREATIVE PERSONALITIES will present: outstanding screenings of short films; exhibitions of art work; debates on personality and the creative process; participatory creative workshops and a series of new performances. It will drive you through a quirky and moving journey. Highlights include: TATE Modern 2007 A presentation of the commended P+ event at TATE MODERN 07. Theatre Tonic 'The Story so far' is a captivating recount of stories from around the UK from people given a diagnosis of PD. Shoestring Theatre Co Leeds' Shoestring Theatre have collaborated with renowned West Yorkshire writer, Clare Shaw – who has a diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder - to create" That's not the way to do it!"- a series of performances which will tour Carriageworks throughout the day. Funny and moving, incisive and controversial, you'll never look at Punch and Judy in the same way again! 1 in 4 Theatre Company A Leeds project will perform a piece upstairs@thecarriageworks. This is a new piece of work devised by the company who regularly meet at the theatre. It is supported by an Awards for All grant. Short films These include those that illustrate recovery from PD, Bobby Baker's acclaimed “Life as a Pea' as seen at the Barbican, London, and personal moving exploratory works by local and national artists. Exhibitions Visual art from local and UK artists Debates and creative workshop Participatory and interactive, they will challenge your perception of personality disorder This is a great opportunity to enjoy an exciting array of work produced by people from around the UK, primarily from those living in the Yorkshire and Humber region.
